Volt jolt – $250,000 taxpayer subsidy per “green” car

January 9, 2012 16:58

In a classic example of Obama’s green schemes the touted future of the auto industry the all electric Chevy Volt costs taxpayers about $250,000 per car and is affordable only by the rich.

Recently it has been discovered that these electric cars catch fire after accidents damage their battery cooling system. GM has recalled the Volt. Will the taxpayers get their $250,000 per car back? Ask Obama.

GM is recalling the biggest flop in autos since the Edsel. The Chevy electric Volt was touted by Obama as the future of the auto industry. Even with tens of thousands of dollars in government subsidies and fleet purchases by the government and its cronies like GE the Volt has failed dismally in sales.

Taxpayers are still on the hook in the GM bailout for over $20 billion. Looks like Obama’s “hope” was only for union paybacks and his “change” was to take more of your money and give it to his supporters.
