MEP Hannan: European coup de grâce in Greece and Italy

November 16, 2011 07:06

British MEP Hannan says the governments in Greece and Italy have been taken over by “technocrats” committed to the European union and the Euro. The new leaders include a former  VP of the European Central bank and a former European commissioner.

“It is precisely their policies that created the problem in the first place. … now we see the true face of the European project. Apparatchiks in Brussels deal directly with apparatchiks in Athens and Rome. The people are cut out altogether. Their elected representatives are silenced. The lamps are going out all over Europe.”
