No wonder conservatives love Perry. Bare knuckled truth.

In his interview with Time magazine Perry  boldly repeated the truth about Obama’s socialist ideology. “I still believe they are socialist. Their policies prove that almost daily.”

Merriam-Webster defines socialism as “any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or government ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods.” A socialist is “one who advocates or practices socialism.”

More and more people are realizing two things. One, Obama IS a socialist and two, that is not a good thing.

Perry is not the first prominent politician to describe Obama and/or his policies as socialist.

Rep. Allen West (R-FL) stood by his comments from a week earlier on the Laura Ingraham Show that Obama was acting like some sort of tinpot dictator last April when West told Greta Van Susteren, “I’m sick and tired of this Marxist demagogic rhetoric coming from this president.”  West also ripped Obama as a “low level socialist agitator.”

Rep. Bachmann said Obama ‘has ushered in socialism.’ And Senator Jim DeMint said “I can’t believe what he says anymore” – “pure socialism.” Recently Wynn Resorts CEO Steve Wynn said of Obama: “We haven’t heard this kind of talk except from pure socialists”

Sean Hannity calls Obama a socialist often and did so in his book “Conservative Victory — Defeating Obama’s Radical Agenda.”

A Harris poll in March of 2010 showed 40% of Americans considered Obama a socialist but the Obama supporting media gave it scant coverage.

Even the mainstream Forbes ran an article proclaiming Obama as a Fabian Socialist as early as the day before the 2008 election. Considering what has happened in the three years since this was written it is amazingly prophetic:

So here is the playbook: The left will identify, freeze, personalize and polarize an industry, probably health care. It will attempt to nationalize one-fifth of the U.S. economy through legislative action. They will focus, as Lenin did, on the “commanding heights” of the economy, not the little guy.

“It may not be health care first; it might be energy, though I suspect that energy will be nationalized much more gradually. The offshore drilling ban that was allowed to lapse legislatively will be reinstated through executive means. It may be an executive order, but might just as well be a permit reviewing system that theoretically allows drilling but with endless levels of objection and appeal from anti-growth groups. Wind and solar, on the other hand, will have no permitting problems at all, and a heavy taxpayer subsidy at their backs.” – Jerry Bowyer, 11.03.08 Forbes.com

National Black Chamber of Commerce founder said Obama “is anti-business…it’s starting to look Marxist to me,”.
Even left of center Fox host Bill O’Reilly said “Obama believes his job is to set up a quasi socialist society”
Perry is just stating the obvious which many have said before him. The media would have us believe this is some radical new comment from a right wing GOP candidate for 2012 but its getting harder and harder to cover for Obama’s blatant redistribution of wealth policies which were first proposed by an obscure social mooch named Karl Marx. After all a Gallup poll showed that  Democrats are mostly socialists and we all know that most of the media pundits are Democrats.
